New playlist

  1. I could definitely tell this song was "hope" from the very beginning. It uses gentle and soothing sounds to blend together to create space and depth while maintaining the sense of hope. There were multiple tracks used, which all helped create a sense of space. I liked how certain tracks were layered over others in very strategic ways to create this sense of space. There were some tracks that seemed to come out of one ear more than the other, which made me focus on them more. They also made the song have a "wider" feel to it, covering more ground than just coming at you from the center.

The soundscape also used slower and faster tracks to create a sense of timing. Sometimes the soundscape seemed to be moving by very slowly, very gently. Other times, the music would swell and I felt like I was being pulled forward. Then the song would back off a little again, and I felt more relaxed. This pulling and pushing helped emphasize the feel of hope throughout the song. The guitar chord picked up the pace about midway through specifically, adding an upbeat pacing to the song that wasn't seen as much earlier with the other instruments. When the guitar was taken out again and the piano faded out, I felt like the timing was really emphasized again.
